Don't Be Concerned With Swine Flu

The media is in a frenzy about the Swine flu right now. The combined population of the US and Mexico is approximately 415 million. There are approximately 1320 reported cases of Swine flu. That's approximately 1 in every 315,000 infected. In the US it is approximately 1 in every 15,000,000!

The White House has declared a "Public Health Emergency".  Let's all freak out and be scared. Let's all live in fear and get vaccinated.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE MEDIA!  

Years ago, as I traveled back from Europe, the customs agent asked if I had visited any farms while I was there. I asked why, and he informed me about a new disease called "foot and mouth disease." Another time, as I was driving into California and I was stopped at the state line, a police officer asked if I had any produce with me. I asked why, and he said that I am not allowed to bring certain fruits into California because of the possibility that I might bring in a certain bug that was causing crops to die. Then there was the time I was in NYC and all the birds were dying, so the mayor decided that it was a bird illness. He decided to spray toxic chemicals into the air to stop the spread of the disease. I figured the harmful chemicals that were sprayed were killing the birds. Let's not forget the recent post about spinach being harmful for our health because of a harmful bacteria, or the same issue with tomatoes a few years ago. Now almonds and other nuts are supposed to be harmful if not cooked to destroy the harmful bacteria. 

I am not suggesting that the above situations are not true. Viruses can spread like wildfire. What I am suggesting is that people's immune systems are declining throughout the world, causing ill health and new outbreaks of viruses like the Swine flu. It is a real concern, but the larger issue should be addressed. We are not as healthy as we could be. Our immune systems are weak and getting weaker. Fear does not help the issue.

Someone emailed me the other day and asked what I suggest to help protect against the Swine Flu. Here they are:

1. Eat healthy
2. Exercise
3. Get enough rest
4. Take four thieves essential oils. ** See description below
5. Don't go to Mexico right now

Eating healthy doesn't automatically prevent Swine disease or suffering from any of these other issues, but being healthy does. Health is more than just the food we consume. But eating healthy is a big part and a great start. If you are someone taken by this new flu, the stronger your immune system, the less harmful it will be to your overall health.

Lastly, I know many conspiricists who will jump on this Swine flu, saying it is the government just finding another way to spread fear amongst the people. I cannot deny that it's true or not, but I can say fear is never a wise answer, nor is spreading it. Stressing out over things beyond your control is not healthy either. Have an organic apple, stay clear of Mexico for the time being, and this shall also pass.

Designed for a Schedule



You are designed to be on a schedule! You have all the tools you need to discover the best schedule for enjoying a healthy, long, satisfying life. The Daylight Diet is about those ideal times. Of the many ideas and concepts regarding nutrition and what foods are most nutritious for the human body, most people have not taken into consideration the times of eating for best digestion.

You have been designed to eat certain foods at certain times of the day. Just as filling your gas tank with water will wreck your engine, putting foods in your body that weren’t meant to be there will harm your body. While it’s impossible to overfill a gas tank—once the tank is full no more gas will fit and will spill to the ground—wouldn’t it be great if the stomach acted this way? But that’s not what happens. The stomach must digest everything that comes its way, or you will die.

God created the heavens and the Earth and everything on it—including us. The sun and the moon are part of God’s creation, and we can learn from the orderly schedule set in nature. The sun rises each morning, and in the evening, the sun sets. The moon becomes full each month. The Daylight Diet is about forgetting man’s calendar and clock and basing our time by the sun and the moon each day.

When the sun is up, you should eat. When the sun is down, you shouldn’t eat. It can’t get simpler than that! This is the number one principle of The Daylight Diet.

The revelation I had about improving health by avoiding eating at night complemented everything that I’ve been teaching the last fifteen years about the importance of consuming a higher quality diet while eating less often. I have found that when one eats higher quality foods, he or she can do fine with very little because the food is so nutritionally packed.

Eating less for better health is not a new idea. Many studies have been done on calorie-restrictive diets and their results in improving one’s health, healing disease, and adding years to one’s life. Many authors from the late 1800s and early 1900s also wrote about the benefits of frugal eating. Not eating later in the day or at nighttime has also been spoken about in the past, and history reveals that eating late at night has only become the norm since the dawn of the Industrial Age.

We were designed to thrive under certain circumstances, but we are also created with an amazing ability to adapt to our environment. The difference is we thrive while living according to the way our bodies were designed, whereas we only survive when we try to exist in a way that goes against God’s natural design. To make matters worse, the further we transgress away from these principles, the shorter our lives will be.

The exciting news is that the Daylight Diet is so simple that anyone can achieve it. You don’t need a lot of money or time; in fact, following the Daylight Diet will help you save money in the long run. The Daylight Diet doesn’t limit you but expands your horizons. Just think how much you can accomplish if you have more energy and time to get things done. The closer you adhere to the Daylight Diet, the less sleep you’ll need because when you eat less, your body requires less rest. So now you can really be free to enjoy life.

The Daylight Diet doesn’t limit the pleasure you get from food either. When you feel as great as I do, you will appreciate that you have discovered how to have ultimate health and energy. Your pleasure for eating less will replace the pleasure you get from food.

There was a time when I thought the Daylight Diet would be too challenging. Why? Because I loved to eat. I loved food and loved to eat more than anyone else I knew.
I’ve met many obese people in my lifetime, but I never met anyone who ate like I did. At some point, I realized that I had to change because even though I loved food at all hours of the day and night, by body didn’t love it and I didn’t like the way I felt, especially when I ate late at night. Now that I’ve jumped on the Daylight Diet bandwagon, I enjoy eating great-tasting food because I eat it when I should and at the times I should. That’s what my body was designed to do.

As you consider the Daylight Diet, I want you to fathom the idea of eating less. Let go of eating small meals around the clock, or making dinner your biggest meal of the day. Go back to the way you were designed to eat and digest food, and that is during the day.

My wife Andrea is potty training our baby at 3 months and it's working!


So I posted this comment to my facebook profile today and so many people were interested I had to show it here. Also I will try to get my wife to write an article about it. It's a work in progress. I've heard some people start this but gave up, and one person email me and has been successful but I've read about many others who have done this with success.

EC is truly amazing!!! Elimination Communication that is. As Paul's wife knows, I'm also listening to my infant's cues of having to "use the potty". My daughter started potty training her little one at 3 months. I didn't believe it was possible. But he has been consistently using his little baby Bjorn potty since then. She has had to change very few poopy diapers much to her delight. He is 14 months old and does very well. Its well worth the effort.

Eating, Digestion and The Daylight Diet


As a teenager, I became interested in playing sports and began to pay closer attention to what I ate for the first time in my life. I wanted to be bigger and stronger and I assumed eating more was the answer. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at 20 years old that I discovered I was consuming a very unhealthy diet. Prior to my illness, I thought I looked fine and felt wonderful. My endurance and strength were superb. I ignored all the warning signs I experienced, like my growing belly, unhealthy skin and unpleasant attitude. Nothing was able to keep me from eating anything I desired. Reminiscing about my teenage years now with much more awareness about health, I realize it wasn’t endurance, but stimulation that kept me going, stimulation from unhealthy, processed, chemically laden foods. Countless children and teenagers appear to thrive while eating unhealthily, but eventually the damage they are building will supersede the stimulation, resulting in a state of disease.

Being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease was my worst nightmare. It brought about everything I was striving to avoid. I was exercising to be big and strong, and I became weaker and smaller. At one point, my weight plummeted to 118 lbs. Talk about a humbling experience. Too bad I didn’t perceive it that way at the time. My main concern was how to avoid the symptoms of my illness because I didn’t want to look skinny. To me, having a scrawny appearance as a young man was worse than the pain of my illness. I’ve since overcome that shallow thinking, but back then I was young and naive. I was so focused on looking good on the outside that I was not interested in dealing with the inside. Finding a cure was not my top priority. With urgency, I had to stop the weight-loss that comes along with IBD. In addition, I had to reverse the muscle loss that was a result of malnutrition because I was not able to completely assimilate nutrients. The only solution I could think of was to greatly increase the amount of food I was consuming. I attempted to consume high fat foods and high protein foods. They became the mainstay of my diet. But the more I ate, the worse my condition seemed to get.

Finally, after several trips to the hospital throughout the years, and surviving on drugs prescribed by doctors and seeing no improvement, I decided to give up! I was in my bathroom, the toilet was full of blood, my stomach felt like it was getting punched non-stop, and I was as thin as a twig. I couldn’t deal with this anymore. After trying everything I knew, it seemed I was out of options. Surgery to remove my colon seemed like my only choice. This was my doctor’s advice if the condition continued to worsen. Apparently, people with IBD have a much higher risk of getting colon cancer, so my doctor wanted to play it safe by removing my colon. At that point, if it was going to relieve my pain, help me gain weight and save me from cancer, I was going to give it serious consideration.

To make matters worse, at that time in my life everything seemed to be going wrong. Along with my illness, I had an unsupportive wife who was upset with my emaciated appearance, a job I didn’t enjoy and I was in deep debt, getting deeper. 
So I gave up. After spending several hours in the bathroom, I finally stopped trying to get better. I didn’t know about prayer at that point in my life. I just asked over and over again “why me?” I struggled not to become depressed, but as the pain worsened, my mood darkened. I left the bathroom that night and lay down on my bed. I decided I wasn’t going to eat. I really didn’t have a choice because it seemed the more I ate, the worse I felt. I wasn’t trying to starve myself, but if that happened, I thought it would be better than living with the pain and other issues that came along with my illness.
I wasn’t looking for an answer at this point. I gave up fighting or looking for a cure. I just wanted to be out of pain. For three days, I ate nothing and just drank small sips of water. On the third day, I realized I was going to the bathroom less often. When I did go, there was less blood. I thought this was interesting, but I was more curious to see how much weight I had lost during those three days. I got on the scale and noticed I actually gained one pound. WOW! Here I was trying to get better by eating more, when my real healing began by eating less. It didn’t take long after that to realize there was something to eating less, especially during times of pain and inflammation.

The more I thought about it, the more sense it made. When I was a teenager, I sprained my lower back playing in the water at the beach. It was only a minor sprain, but still very painful and I had to stay in bed for a few days. Putting pressure on it would have made it worse. Until the inflammation went down, I had to rest. If I did walk, I had to go very slow.

I now began to understand something I had been missing all along. Inflammation is the body’s way of saying we are putting too much pressure on a certain part of the body. I was putting too much pressure on my digestive track by overeating and not eating healthy foods. Just as if I had tried to do jumping jacks on a sprained ankle, the more I ate the more pressure I was creating on my digestive organs. Only when I removed what was contributing to the problem, did I begin to heal. Years later, when I met Dr. Fred Bisci, he told me repeatedly, “Health begins with what we leave out of our diet.”

I researched and found that poor digestion is the most common illness today, and if not addressed properly, will lead to worsen conditions. I read several books that stated the condition of your colon would determine the status of your heath. To be healthy, you must keep the colon clean and working well.

I discovered information that wasn’t new, just overlooked. Poor digestion creates a toxic bowel! Overeating creates poor digestion! The colon can only handle so much food at one time. Any amount beyond that is gong to result in serious discomfort or dis-ease. Inflammation of the colon is a result of excess food. My illness was in a more advanced stage, however anyone can have inflammation of the colon and not suffer from IBD. If you are overeating, chances are there inflammation somewhere in your digestive system. 
When inflammation occurs, the digestive organs shift from a digestive mode to a cleansing mode. This cleansing mode is an automatic, built-in garbage disposal that helps keep the body clean. After years of using excess energy to keep cleansing, the organs lose their vitality. At this point, there is very little energy to digest food and the garbage disposal cannot do its required job, so it shuts off. The next stage is usually constipation, and finally, more fatal diseases like colon cancer. Anyone eating a healthy diet who has a clean colon will not suffer from inflammation of the colon or any other part of the body.

A clean colon is the opposite of what so many people have today. Their digestive tracks are filthy. They suffer from constipation and continue to put more food on top of undigested food. This creates fermentation and putrefaction. Keeping your colon clean, and assisting your body in the digestion of food is the answer to optimum health. The good news is that we have control to make that happen. After my experience and helping hundreds of others, I am convinced we can do certain things to improve our digestion. Following food combining, eating less frequently, and eating fresher foods are just some of the ways to assist digestion. But the best way is to have temperance while eating and only eat during daylight.

What about Easter?
Not many people know this but Passover is the Biblical holiday. Easter is a secular holiday, because their origin and practice involved fertility rites, sexual licentiousness, and the worship of false gods as the central focus of their celebration.

Each year in the spring, masses of worshipers celebrate Easter. Around the world, Easter Sunrise Worship services are held on the tops of hills and mountains, while priests chant and utter incantations, devotees kneel and bow in worship towards the east as the sun crests the horizon.
